The Right Way to Soak Earth’s Energies (Umpqua Hot Springs)

Our entire biological system – the brain and the earth itself – work on the same frequencies. ~Nikola Tesla

Umpqua Hot Springs, Oregon, road tripAnother adventure on the road led us through rivers and forests of Oregon, and into some of its most spectacular hidden gems. Work is work. And at the end of a busy work week, all I look forward to is getting back to reality. Right where I belong…

If you ever feel the need to balance and harmonize your body-mind, Earth will forever be your answer. Soak all of its glory. Literally =)

And there is a certain magic about natural occurring hot springs. Here, where no clocks or watches exist; no restraints, where time simply stops…

…And it is absolutely therapeutic.

Umpqua Hot Springs, Oregon, road tripOver and over I have heard stories of people seeking the healing power of these natural occurring oases. And why not? The simple act of soaking in these geothermal pools has a cleansing affect in both our outer layer and within our inner self. Bliss!

Umpqua Hot Springs, Oregon, road tripAnd if you would rather get scientific, soaking in these hot springs means soaking in minerals straight out of our dearest Mother Earth. Boron, Lithium, Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium! All of which are minerals our body uses. (plus some)

How amazing is that? It’s like soaking in liquid vitamins (hehehe).

Umpqua Hot Springs, Oregon, road tripWe left the hot springs feeling so completely relaxed –physically and mentally. And our skin was so soft. Gah! Soaking in these hot springs in the cooler months would feel absolutely divine. I cannot wait to go back.

Umpqua Hot Springs, Oregon, road tripI hope the summer weather has been treating you wonderfully, and that you have taken some time to get outside, get inspired, and reconnect. Even if getting outside means your balcony or your local park. Go soak the sunshine at the very least =) And always stay grateful for the way Earth provides.

Love & Light,

I will spare all the details you can already find online about these springs. I’d be happy to answer any questions, however =)

They are tucked away in the Umpqua National Forest in Oregon and are worth every gallon of gas from Seattle! We followed the directions we found here. The road is probably easier to handle with an SUV (we rented) and the actual hike is less than a mile. It was fairly empty when we arrived, though we totally walked in on a couple having sex. Yup. You heard it (leave the kiddos at home). Clothing is optional.

  2. I recently experienced my first hot spring, although indoors, in Japan. The water is said to come from MT. Fuji. My next goal is to experience an outdoors one!
Do people clean the outdoor ones?

We were more asked to not wear clothes ~ there were separate rooms for male/female though.

    • Hi Jo! This was my first experience too =) I have seen other Hot springs that look like regular swimming pools, but those don’t attract my attention. I was after the more natural feeling. But I have no doubt u could get the same physical benefits.

I’m not sure to what extent these particular springs are cleaned. It may just be regularly kept by the state, as do other parks. The water is constantly flowing, so I guess it self-cleans to an extent? Haha, no idea :)
      It very relaxing, no doubt.

  3. hahahah omg getting down in the hot springs. Something about being out in nature right? naked. lol I’m trying to decide where to head for 4th of July weekend and I’m thinking Oregon… or back to the Olympics to do 7 Lakes Basin. You have an adventure planned?

    • LOL!! :-D something! Hahaha.

I’m sure Oregon would be a great choice, too! There are just so many pretty places to visit.
We drove to these springs, then to Toketee Falls, and finally to Silver Falls and Abiqua Falls before heading back to Seattle. Haha all in a single a weekend. Oregon is slowly stealing our hearts…

We’ll be on the road through 4th of July, taking a long birthday road trip through the canyons =) I am so excited!

Hope you’re doing well, Leslie! When is your trip abroad? I’m excited for you, and look fwd to your travel stories :)
