“To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.”

BLANCA LAKE, CENTRAL CASCADES, WA

Best thing? You can camp up here! After 3 miles, 4 hours, and about 3,000 feet of elevation (very steep, yes!) camping is all I wanted…But we didn’t.

We didn’t anticipate taking four hours to hike this. Bring LOTS of water for a summer hike. Two water bottles will not do. We brought a gallon each, and finished it all.

Until next time, beautiful Blanca Lake. Spent maybe an hour here before heading back to avoid nightfall. We hiked in the dark for about 15 mins. No big deal.

Amazing right? AND, I had huckleberries for the first time EVER! I couldn’t stop eating them on the way down. And THEE best blueberries I’ve had. Holy smokes, the bears have it good!

Thank you for stopping by =) I wish you all endless curiosity and magical adventures! Stay blessed.

i’m going to have to wait till next summer since the weather is getting colder and the sun sets earlier :(
wow, stunning photos!
Only bc this place was stunning all on its own =)
Thanks, Aleya! <3
My bf and I started the hike to Blanca Lake but it was two days after I got all my wisdom teeth out (and I was still on medication!) and I couldn’t complete the hike. :( I ended up feeling sick and light headed and we turned around. These pictures are gorgeous and I can’t wait to return to finish it! It’s a grunt uphill lol
Yikes! On a hot summer day, we were feeling out of breath in the first few minutes of the hike, so I can’t even imagine trying to do the hike on medication.
Definitely one of the hardest hikes I’ve done, haha. Such an incline! But that lake!!!?! You’ll love it :)
